Performances begin at 7pm at the Luther Burbank Amphitheater. Wooden O presents the world's most famous study of young love in adversity. Romeo & Juliet the "star-crossed" lovers from feuding families, challenge the strife-torn culture of voilence around them, and seek a way for love to triumph over hatred. With unrelenting pressures of anger and prejudice closing in around them, all they have left to cling to is each other. When family, friends and even faith conspire against their love; their poignant demise becomes a clarion call for peace and reconciliation.
